Eau Thermale Jonzac® is committed to supplying pure, healthy water containing no pesticides or endocrine disruptors, to limit its effects on Nature and on our health.

As members of the international 1% for the Planet initiative, we support associations involved in the fight against freshwater pollution, to preserve the quality of this vital resource.

We support 2 associations in particular, working to keep water pure and healthy: Générations Futures and Fondation Eau, Neige, Glace.

Générations Futures is an environmental protection association approved by the Ministry of Ecological Transition and recognized as acting in the public interest. It has been conducting research since 1996, raising awareness and lobbying on the effects of pesticides and endocrine disruptors on health.

The association leads awareness campaigns based on scientific reports and civic action on a local, national and international scale, denouncing the impact of chemical pollutants on the environment and health.

It also promotes use of effective alternatives that respect living organisms, including organic farming. Générations Futures takes legal action to help change the current pesticide approval system and the existing regulations.

We support its work undertaken to prevent use of chemical substances having an impact on health, by funding groundbreaking scientific surveys and helping to develop new tools (brochures, videos and events like the Semaine pour les alternatives aux pesticides) to raise awareness and persuade policymakers.

“Endocrine disruptors pose a threat to aquatic organisms during certain key phases of their development, even at very low doses, by undermining their reproduction for example. And they are not only threatening aquatic wildlife. Human beings are also affected, because they are consuming contaminated water and fish products. The most recent scientific research shows that these substances can harm human health, even at these low doses, particularly in key phases of intrauterine development and in the first months of a baby’s life.”

François Veillerette, co-founder and spokesman for the association.

Fondation Eau, Neige, Glace takes action to improve understanding of and significantly reduce the polluting impact of our water use, from mountains to plains.

The foundation has been exploring the increasingly serious issue of mountain water purity for the past 12 years, a resource seriously harmed by human action and its unmanaged impact on all water in all its forms (glaciers, lakes, rivers, groundwater).

It is working to significantly reduce the polluting effects of water used by humans with the intention of slowing down climate change.

GENERATION FUTURE
