Preservatives are used in cosmetics for their anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, but they are one of the main causes of irritation and allergic reactions. This is why our IRD (Innovation in Research and Development) teams have dedicated two and a half years of research to studying the Jonzac preservative system in order to guarantee skincare efficacy and high tolerance, as a result of which our Jonzac products can benefit from the patent registered Protect 3C Complex.
Today’s Rehydrate formulas benefit from new advances on the patented Protect 3C Complex, for improved tolerance and naturality without compromising on effective preservation.
Our IRD teams seek permanently to improve our preservative systems. They have been working on the inclusion of a new natural-origin ingredient, which has taken 3 years of hard work and perseverance to incorporate because of its effect on emulsion stability. They also needed to balance the other raw materials used in the preservative system, giving them the opportunity to reduce the percentage of synthetic substances.

There are raw materials we can use in conventional skincare to create this type of “cream-gel” texture, but they are synthetic and so are not authorized under the COSMOS standard.
Our Laboratory teams have been working for 4 years to achieve this texture organically, studying carefully selected combinations of natural-origin raw materials, gelling agents, emulsifiers, fatty acid esters and more to obtain a highly innovative COSMOS certified organic texture that does not feel sticky and leaves a comfortable, powdery finish.
